4-H
Ascension 4-H is a youth development program offering hands-on educational experiences for youth in the areas of Agriculture, leadership, SET, healthy living, and citizenship throughout the parish and around the state. High school students can be in the Junior Leaders program at the district level.
There are various competitions to participate in at the parish, regional, and state levels. We host a parish-wide Achievement Day on campus every year.
There is something for everyone in 4-H!

BETA CLUB
Beta Club's purpose is "to promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, leadership and service among elementary and secondary school students."
Requirements to join:
1. Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
2. Good disciplinary record
3. Demonstrate the ideals of character, leadership, and service. (Applicants must secure 3 teacher recommendations and submit an essay.)
Requirements after acceptance:
1. Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
2. Complete 25 service hours each academic year.
3. $15 yearly membership dues
*** BETA Convention participation is strongly encouraged.

Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is a national Career and Technical Student Organization for students in Family & Consumer Sciences education in public and private schools. FCCLA offers intra-curricular resources and opportunities for students to pursue careers that support families. FCCLA hosts campus wide events including Red Ribbon Week and FCCLA Week; as well as, attending State and National Conferences. To join FCCLA you must be currently enrolled in or previously enrolled in at least one Family & Consumer Science geared course.

FUTURE FARMERS OF AMERICA (FFA)
- FFA is a dynamic national youth organization within agricultural education that changes lives and prepares students for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success. We participate in multiple competitions, conduct school and community based activities, and help further our students in agriculture and leadership.

Open to students from all grades who have a love for math!

Club members have the opportunity to compete in around 2-3 tournaments every semester at local locations such as St. Paul’s, Episcopal, Catholic High, and Brother Martin.

Mu Alpha Theta members provide tutoring for any math subjects weekly on Tuesdays.

NAHS is a nationally recognized organization for art students who already have an Art 1 Credit and 3.0 GPA.

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY
National Honor Society
1. National Honor Society (NHS) membership has been the true mark of student achievement for over 100 years, but it goes far beyond a report card. By empowering, championing, and recognizing well-rounded students, NHS provides schools with a values-based framework to elevate a culture of scholarship, service, leadership, and character.
2. Sophomores and Juniors with a 3.75 unweighted GPA will be invited to apply for membership in February. A faculty council will review applications based on the 4 tenets of the NHS (scholarship, leadership, service, character). New member inductions are in April.
Club Requirements: NHS members are required to provide peer tutoring through WINGS, LEAP tutoring, and other tutoring opportunities on campus. Each member must also contribute over 12 hours of service to the school and community through various service projects.
QUIZ BOWL
RHO KAPPA NATIONAL SOCIAL STUDIES HONOR SOCIETY
The DTHS Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honor Society wants you!
Rho Kappa is the only national organization for high school juniors and seniors that recognizes excellence in the field of Social Studies.
Applicants must have an unweighted overall 3.0 GPA and unweighted 3.5 GPA in their social studies classes.
We encourage members to develop an interest and appreciation for social studies by offering opportunities to explore through field trips, guest speakers, debates, competitions, and service projects.
Rho Kappa opens applications in February each year for sophomores and juniors who qualify for membership their junior or senior year.

The Dutchtown Scientific Community (Science Club) is a student-led club that fosters student interest in a diverse range of sciences and encourages them to dig deep into those interests. We are a very hands-on club that does experiments and demonstrations in fields such as chemistry, physics, and biology. We also support student presentations, projects, and investigations because we believe high schoolers are not too young to make real scientific discoveries.
There are no hard requirements to join, only that you bring an interest in all things science!
When: Meetings will take place every other Monday after school.
Activities: Field Trips, Advanced Lab Experiments, Ted Talks & Discussions, Guest Speakers, Environmental projects, etc.
Benefits: Deepen your understanding of science with students like you who are curious and interested in the world around us. Make friends and have fun enjoying all that this club has to offer.

THESPIAN SOCIETY
WOMEN IN STEM
Empowering and encouraing high school girls to be a part of the movement to increase female representation in STEM.
According to a report by The World Bank, women make up less than a third of the world’s workforce in technology-related fields.
Women make up 35% of employees in STEM in the U.S.
Women held 35% of tech jobs in the U.S. at the end of 2023.
We will meet once a month after school for an hour the first Wednesday of each month in room 102.
